A Letter from Torrence Jackson

KingsWay Academy Director

Hello Students and Families,

At KingsWay Christian Academy, our goal is to equip bold, innovative, and loving young leaders by providing education that is interdisciplinary, rigorous, and Christ-centered.  Our mission clearly states, “KingsWay Christian Academy exists to prepare students for life by partnering with families, churches and cities to provide a Christ-centered education.  The KingsWay mission is to transform lives by creating an academic environment that fosters servant leaders who are empowered to live out their God given destiny."

The concept of partnership is at the center of the KingsWay Christian Academy heart.  Our goal and absolute desire is to partner with families and students to see transformation that lasts for all of eternity.  Transformed lives within families make a real difference in homes, neighborhoods, cities, and regions.

Within our vision, we identify three pillars of focus: Encounter - Equip - Excel.  At KCA, we understand that God is the author and creator of all things.  It all begins and ends with Him!

In order for our students to live out of true identity, they must encounter the love of Jesus Christ.  I am privileged to work with an amazing staff that embodies that love every day and shares it with students and families.  We believe that the questions of today will find answers in student leaders who discover and live life through that love of God.  Only because of this authentic encounter with our creator can our students truly understand empathy and begin to carry the peace of God wherever they go!

Equipping students of today requires having a personal and dynamic relationship with students and families.  Students who are led by authentic teachers whom they trust, will always achieve more than they ever thought possible.  KCA teachers live out the love of the Father inside of their classrooms and within daily instruction thus bringing curriculum to life. I am proud that our staff is comprised of life-long learners who are incredibly passionate for their subject areas and desire restoration in all things. Proverbs 22:6 tells us to, “Train up a child in the way that he should go and he will not depart from it.”  Our heart is to equip each child with differentiated instruction and specific tools needed to excel as God intended.

At KCA, our desire is for students to excel at all that they do, so that God will get the glory.  In order to do this, we teach our students that God is in the center of all things and all truth.  We provide an atmosphere for students to encounter these values and obtain knowledge through our carefully designed program of curriculum, discipleship, and community service.  As we all know, making mistakes along the way, understanding these errors, and not allowing such mistakes to define us builds character.  We believe that this is a generation of students who will excel at doing the right thing no matter what, therefore becoming individuals of integrity!

Our goal is to develop thriving servant leaders through an approach that focuses on the whole child.  This means that we do not see the pursuits of character, intellect, creative expression, and physical wellness as being unrelated factors in reaching children.  At KCA, we recognize that all of these qualities work together in a significant and holistic way.  God has equipped all of our students with unique gifts and abilities.  We encourage students by nurturing these attributes while focusing on determination, optimism, and grit.  We believe that students with a growth mindset are not afraid to risk and fail because they are secure in who they are.

We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with you and your family.  Our goal is to raise up young people whose roar becomes the sound of their culture!  We believe each of these leaders will be as bold as a lion!

Lead with the heart of a servant.  Serve with the heart of The King!
